Cultural Experiences

Properties near iconic landmarks and cultural centers with curated local experiences.

The difference between seeing a place and being let into it usually comes down to access, and access is usually a matter of where you sleep. These properties sit close enough to what you came for that the timing works in your favour, and each runs programming that is genuinely its own rather than a concierge handing over a map.

Where to stay

01

Fairmont Banff Springs

Banff · Fairmont

The one North American property here that competes with anything in Europe on setting alone. Guided castle history tours, the Cave and Basin National Historic Site nearby where Canada's national parks system began, and seasonal history walks through the grounds. Kids at the Castle runs alongside, and the suite configurations handle a family group without splitting it up.

Direct access to the nearest major airport from most North American gateways, then ninety minutes into the park. Best June to September for the cultural programming, winter for skiing.
